Licensing of Docusnap 6.0 is based on computer nodes (server, work stations, virtual machines), which are entered in the Active Directory of a network. For a first determination of the number of Windows computer nodes a small tool is used, which can be executed
here. Linux and Macintosh nodes must be manually calculated.
Optional modules are charged via percentage markup on top of the base price, calculated according to the number of active computer notes (base price and markups are listed above).
By using the optional MULTI module - of interest for enterprises and IT providers - Docusnap 6.0 can be used for clients. The MULTI module allows the use of Docusnap 6.0 in several networks, the import of external scans into the central database and the customization of corporate names and CI of different companies.
In connection with the Customizing module Multi-License is the ideal solution for the use of Docusnap 6.0, if actual inventory analyses, IT documentations or rights analyses must be created in external networks. Further information regarding licenses and upgrades
Time-limited licenses:
In special cases the mere use of a time-limited Docusnap 6.0 license may be most useful. 80% of the purchasing price of a time-limited license will be credited against the purchasing price of the same full version. Pricing and consultation regarding time-limited licenses are available any time upon request.
License upgrades (notes)
License upgrades are possible in steps of 5, whereby the price difference between existing and new desired license will be calculated.
(Minimum order value 200.00 Euro).
Version upgrades and major releases
The purchased license includes free delivery of version upgrades and releases within the first 6 months after the purchasing date.
Within 6 to 12 months after date of purchase upgrades and releases are available for a markup of 30% of the list price of the purchased license.
If the license was purchased more than 12 months ago, upgrades and releases are available for a markup of 50 % of the list price of the purchased license.
In the case that a maintenance and support agreement was purchased, all upgrades and new releases can be obtained free of charge.
Updates and hotfixes
During startup of Docusnap 6.0 the user is informed about new updates or hotfixes.
These changes are available free of charge independently from the existence of a maintenance agreement.
Maintenance and support agreement (option)
Price: 19% of the license amount of the purchased licenses, duration 12 month from date of purchase.
Content: Software maintenance contains all technical upgrades and major releases for existing modules and functions, which are launched for Docusnap within the duration of the contract, provided free of charge. Within the duration of the agreement, the customer receives technical support and help during troubleshooting, if the problems are caused by the use of the software.
The maintenance agreement is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and expires automatically on the respective date. If an extension of the contract is desired for another year, a new order must be placed.
Services and support in the area of network configuration, customizing or short software introductions ("dummy" introductions) are not included in the maintenance agreement. However, they can be acquired using the manual, teaching videos or the forum. If this is not sufficient, we will be more than happy to arrange a small training session upon request. Support is charged according to the consultation time (110 € / hour), billing is based on 15 minutes increments.
